Catherine, Rosie, and Kendra are fun in their own right. One thing I want to do in my cultivation novels is to show a bunch of different type of people. Most cultivations novels have the same type of archetypes and I guess since I'm already messing with the cultivation I want to show a different type of universe well still staying true to the goal of cultivation. Honestly I've always worried about whether my world would be accepted. So the expertise weren't in it originally going with a more straight forward level path.
I do think there will be people who think I've desecrated the genre and I shouldn't bring my western Ideas into it. However I believe that the best way we can grow is taking the best of all cultures and mix them rather then segregate them.
